An elderly man died in a house fire in Lawrence County Saturday.
The fire was reported at 2:30 p.m. at a split-level house on Hartzell Road, Hickory Township, where 83-year-old Robert Donald Taylor lived alone.
State police say that despite the efforts of neighbors, the flames spread quickly and Taylor died in the fire. The fire was ruled accidental.
