Police are trying to track down three people accused of kidnapping a man, tying him up and beating him for a week just south of Butler County.
Authorities say the victim told officers he was walking home from a bar in Pittsburgh (on East Ohio Street) when he was knocked unconscious. He woke up tied to a chair inside his own home in the North Hills (in Allegheny County).
The man recognized the voice of his longtime girlfriend, Karrie Diaz, saying “You’re going to have to kill him.” The victim then told officers two men, identified as Joshua Flick and Justin Keller, untied him from the chair and beat him repeatedly until he passed out. This reportedly went on for days, according to a criminal complaint.
The victim eventually convinced his alleged abductors to take him to the hospital.
He suffered a broken pelvis, broken nose and chipped vertebrae. He told officers that he has a $400,000 life insurance policy and his girlfriend in the beneficiary.
