A Louisiana man has been charged by a jury in Pittsburgh for a far reaching mail fraud scheme targeting realtors.
According to the Department of Justice, Rex Alan Harris who also goes by a variety of aliases, was arrested in Louisiana earlier this week and faces 11 charges.
Harris is accused of defrauding hundreds of realtors nationwide out of over $2 million dollars since 2008. Under the scheme, Harris would allegedly promise television and internet advertising to realtors who paid him money then fail to deliver on that advertising.
Realtors who paid money to one of Harris’s schemes and may be victims are encouraged to contact the FBI Hotline at 1-800-CALL-FBI. Harris will be arraigned May 23rd.
