A man is facing charges for allegedly assaulting firefighters when they arrived to battle a house fire Friday afternoon.
It happened around 11:00 a.m. on Oneida Valley Road in Center Township. Police say Jacob Rivers refused to follow orders to stay outside the house.
Eventually a firefighter had to physically remove Rivers from the house; and then minutes later Rivers tried to hit the firefighters and also threw a brick and full Gatorade bottles.
He then drew a knife and brandished it at firefighter and EMS crews.
Rivers was charged with assault and is in the Butler County Prison.
