A Butler man has been charged with killing his girlfriend.
Police believe 21-year-old Ishemer Ramsey of Lyndora fatally shot 26-year-old Melissa Barto last week during an argument in his car.
Barto was reported missing on Friday and police say they received several tips on Saturday that led them to believe she was killed Thursday. Ramsey was arrested Sunday morning and remains in the Butler County Prison being held without bail.
Police still have not found Barto’s body.
According to court documents, Ramsey told a friend that he shot Barto in the head multiple times during an argument because he thought she was cheating on him.
