A Freeport man is facing charges after allegedly running over his wife while intoxicated.
On August 13 Buffalo Township Police were called to the White Star Fraternal Society for a woman who had been ran over. When police arrived the victim, Maureen Frain, was on the ground receiving treatment.
Charging documents say 45-year-old Gary Frain Jr. was cut off at the bar, but got in his vehicle to drive home. His wife Maureen then attempted to stop Gary from leaving in his truck. Witnesses on scene said they hears a loud scream and Frain driving off from the scene.
After receiving treatment on scene Maureen was transported to Allegheny General for a laceration on her right side and a head wound.
Frain has been charged with aggravated assault, accident involving death or injury while not licensed, and a DUI. He was placed in the Butler County Prison but was able to post the $30,000 bail.
