After an attacking another man at the Butler Fall Fest and driving home intoxicated, police have charged and placed a man in the Butler County Prison.
Butler City Police were called to the area of North Main and Brady Streets last Friday after an argument between two men left one seriously injured. The callers, who witnessed the attack, said the victim who suffered a broken ankle attempted to deescalate the interaction before it became physical.
Police say the alleged attacker, 48-year-old Nathan Heigley, ran from the scene after the attack and drove home in his vehicle intoxicated.
As police were searching for Heigley, they received a call for a “intoxicated man attempting to fight everyone” on Oak Street that fit his description.
When police arrived, they discovered several parked vehicles in the area were damaged and a child that was with Heigley on his drive home confirmed to police Heigley hit several vehicles.
Heigley was arrested and is facing several charges. He has been placed in the Butler County Prison, his bail has been set at $100,000.
