A Westmoreland County man is facing charges after allegedly stealing a large amount of money from his former employer in Saxonburg.
According to a criminal complaint, State Police began an investigation into 52-year-old Craig Hone of New Kensington last October for suspected theft from Cygnus Manufacturing Company in Clinton Township.
Police say that Hone will be charged with Theft by Deception for fraudulently collecting almost $700,000.
With the help of a forensic audit, police discovered that Hone allegedly placed fraudulent orders and then sent checks to pay for those orders to a PO Box in Sarver over a period of almost seven years.
