The suspect in the murder of a transgender teen in Mercer County was in court for the first time.
29-year-old DaShawn Watkins of Sharon was ordered to stand trial following an hours-long preliminary hearing yesterday.
He’s facing first-degree murder charges; accused of killing and dismembering 14-year-old Pauly Likens of Sharon.
Likens remains were found scattered in the Shenango Lake at the end of June.
A formal arraignment will happen on September 24th.
