The annual mail carriers’ effort to help end hunger will happen again on Saturday.
This is the 26th year of the nationwide Stamp Out Hunger effort. Locally, community members can leave nonperishable items in a bag by their mailbox. Mail carriers, including rural carriers, will then pick up the bags when they deliver the mail.
Those interested in participating can also leave donations beside any parked U.S. Postal vehicle or bring donations to the back door of the Main Street Post Office until 4 p.m. Saturday.
With the help of the United Way and Butler County Community Action, donations made in Butler will stay here in Butler to aid local residents.
