Residents in some parts of the South Hills of Pittsburgh experienced a mysterious explosive sound Saturday morning.
The National Weather Service is providing more info on exactly what may have happened.
The loud boom appeared to be heard mostly in Washington County, and the National Weather Service says it was most likely a meteor explosion.
An optical energy analysis shows that there was a flash in the region, but there was not any lightning.
No damage was reported.
