Pennsylvania Lottery officials are asking the public to be aware of scammers claiming to be lottery employees.
According to the lottery executive director, the latest scam includes news of a million dollar prize won from a gmail.com email address as well as a phone number with a 281 area code.
No lottery employee will ever ask for personal financial information or direct a lottery winner to buy a pre-paid debit card to pay an up-front processing fee or taxes.
