A longtime court reporter is getting recognized by Butler County officials ahead of her retirement.
Lynda Harrison is stepping away from the stenograph after 49 years at the courthouse.
She first started working for the county in 1972, and became a court reporter under Judge George Kiester just a year later.
She acknowledged her colleagues at the county’s public meeting earlier this week.
“To all the court reporters, Butler County is very blessed with the court reporter core that we have,” Harrison said.
Since 2000, Harrison has worked in the courtroom of Judge William Shaffer.
