A longtime local business owner recently passed away.
Leeland “Lee” Bortmas died Monday.
After serving in the U.S. Army and Coast Guard, Bortmas worked with his father as manager of the family business, Bortmas, The Butler Florist. He later bought and ran the business.
Bortmas was a longtime member of many Butler area organizations including Friends of the Bantam Jeep, the Old Stone House Car Club, and the Butler Boat Club.
A celebration of life service will take place on a date yet to be determined. Bortmas was 94 years old.
