An Armstrong County crash last weekend injured a local woman and involved a child.
According to State Police, a 25-year-old man from Westmoreland County was driving on Route 422 West near the intersection with Rupp Church Road shortly before 1 a.m. Sunday (11/6) when he went up an embankment and hit a fire hydrant.
A 25-year-old woman from Butler was unconscious from an overdose in the passenger seat and a six year old also from Butler was in a booster seat in the back. After the crash, the man moved the unconscious woman into the driver’s seat before EMS and police arrived on the scene.
The woman was revived from her overdose and taken to Armstrong County Memorial Hospital for treatment. The child was not injured.
