An investigation by the FBI and IRS has led to charges against a local woman.
The Department of Justice US Attorney’s Office for the Western District of PA announced a federal grand jury has indicted 46-year-old Pamela Vivirito of Valencia.
The seven count indictment includes charges of interference with commerce by extortion and mail fraud. Vivirito is accused of extorting property and using donations solicited by her non-profit charity Equine Angels Rescue for personal expenses.
She could face a maximum of 140 years in prison, a fine of $1.75 million, or both.
