High School Sports Scores from Tuesday:
Golf:
Moniteau continues to dominate the Keystone Shortway Athletic Conference “Mega-Matches” with an 18-stroke victory over Venango Catholic Tuesday at Foxburg Country Club. It was their eighth victory in a row. Karns City finished fourth. AC Valley/Union finished sixth. Kolby Montgomery of AC Valley/Union was the individual runner-up with a 42. Weston Kimmey and Cortney Claypoole of Moniteau shot 44’s.
Girls Golf:
Butler-169 Indiana-201. Hannah Folk led all golfers with a 40. Maggie Feczko had a 41. Emilee Altman and Maddy Temple had 44’s. The Golden Tornado face Pine-Richland tomorrow at Conley’s.
Boys Soccer:
Freeport-10 Valley-1. Bryce Hanby had two goals and three assists for the Yellow Jackets. Cole Bennick and Hunter Hardin added two goals each. Freeport is now 4-0 overall and 3-0 in section play. (Other goals scorers: Seth Davis, Ethan Bowser and Kevin Lynch had goals. Robbie Reichenbaugh had a goal and two assists).

Seneca Valley and North Allegheny tied at 1-1.
Girls Volleyball:
Butler-3 North Hills-0. Scores were: 25-21, 31-29, 25-12. Caitlyn Martin had 10 kills and 16 digs. Erin Fullerton had four kills, three blocks and two aces. Tabitha Walker had 25 assists, three aces and six digs. Butler will host Shaler tomorrow. JV game begins at 6pm with the varsity game following. (Butler JV won last night 2-0).
AC Valley-3 Moniteau-0.
The Butler Junior High Cross Country teams split with Fox Chapel and North Hills Tuesday. For the Butler Girls: Samantha Penrod won the event in a time of 15:20. Jada Pinto was the runner-up. Olivia White was third. Skyler Vavro finished runner-up for the Boys, Josh Fry was third. Fox Chapel won both matches.
The Slippery Rock University men’s soccer team tied California 0-0 last night. The Rock is now 1-0-1 in PSAC play. They have allowed just two goals in their season-opening four games.
