An employee of a local Sheetz convince store has been praised by the company’s corporate headquarters after performing CPR on a customer late last week.
According to our news partners at KDKA, an unknown women fell unconscious at a gas pump at the Sheetz on Route 8 on the Butler Township/Penn Township line on Friday morning. Officials say that the employee then attended to the customer by performing CPR until EMS personnel arrived.
Upon arrival, paramedics administered Narcan to the customer, who is believed to have overdosed on heroin. The customer was then taken to a local hospital for treatment.
