A Butler County restaurant is doing its part today to show local police officers that they are supported.
The Hoagie Shop declared Monday ‘Police Officer Appreciation Day’ and is giving a hoagie to any law enforcement officer free of charge.
“I think it’s important to show your support for your local police officers,” Owner Travis Frenchak said. “Especially with what’s going on around our country. I think it’s good for them to know that the community has their back.”
The Hoagie Shop has been in operation in Butler for 58 years and has three locations (North McKean Street in Butler City; New Castle Road in Butler Township and inside the Bon Air Shopping Plaza, also in Butler Township).
Officers can stop at any location to get their free sandwich.
