A December tribute is being planned to honor Greg Adams, a local police chief killed in the line of duty 35 years ago.
Saxonburg officials say that at 1:30pm on Friday, December 4th, they will honor the chief on the 35th anniversary of his death with a memorial service at his memorial plaque in the borough. Adams’ widow and his two sons are expected to attend, along with other local law enforcement agencies and FBI agents.
The 31-year-old Adams was killed during a traffic stop on Saxonburg’s Butler Street on December 4th, 1980. The accused murderer, Donald Eugene Webb, has yet to be found.
