Local politicians and medical authorities are asking residents to act wisely and use precautions when celebrating the Fourth of July weekend.
A press release from the Butler County Commissioners, the Director of Emergency Management, and officials with the Butler Health System encourages social distancing and the use of masks when in public.
The Commissioners reaffirmed their support of the medical community in asserting the value of wearing a facemask, social distancing of at least six feet, and frequent hand washing to limit the spread of COVID-19. Anyone who feels sick should stay home.
After a recent increase in the number of tests positive for COVID-19 in Butler County, taking these actions can protect healthcare workers, first responders and their families as well as reduce a possible surge in hospital admissions.
