A local motorcyclist was seriously injured after he tried to avoid two deer Saturday morning in Bethel Township, Armstrong County.
The State Police in Kittanning say that around 10:30am Saturday, 67-year-old Kenneth McGuire of Leechburg was riding behind a second motorcyclist when two deer jumped onto the roadway between the two bikes.
Authorities say that McGuire attempted to stop the bike, but lost control and slid into the other lane. He was then flown to UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh with serious injuries.
