A local man is again running for a seat in the state legislature.
Adams Township resident Gordon Marburger has announced he will campaign for the 12th District seat in the PA House of Representatives. That seat has been held since 1999 by Daryl Metcalfe.
Marburger challenged Metcalfe for the Republican nomination in 2014 but was removed from the ballot by the state Supreme Court for failure to file a statement of financial interest with the state Ethics Commission. Marburger is a fifth generation farmer. He serves on the boards of the Mars Area School District and Butler County Community College.
The 12th Legislative District includes Adams, Clinton, Cranberry, Forward, Penn and Middlesex Townships as well as Callery, Mars, Seven Fields and Valencia.
