A local man has been chosen to represent Butler County at the state level as a member of a committee devoted to aviation.
A three year term on the Pennsylvania Aviation Advisory Committee will begin this month for Clinton township resident Andrew Allen.
Allen currently serves as the Treasurer/Secretary of the Pittsburgh-Butler Regional Airport Authority Board but was selected to the state committee by Governor Tom Wolf after being nominated by the Butler County Board of Commissioners.
Allen owns Armstrong Farms and started flying planes when he was 14 years old. Allen is also the first Butler County resident to be appointed to a spot on this state organization.
