A couple of local lawmakers are offering assistance to veterans later this week.
State Representative Tedd Nesbit will host a veterans outreach specialist at his office in Grove City on Wednesday (4/12) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. as well as the second Wednesday of each month. The specialist can help with compensation, pension, death benefits, education, and health care. The service is offered by the American Legion but vets do not need to be Legion members to get help. Appointments are not necessary.
State Representative Brian Ellis usually holds a veterans outreach availability at his office in Lyndora the second Friday of every month but due to Good Friday this week, his event has been moved to Wednesday as well. A department service officer with the American Legion will be on hand but again, vets do not have to be members to receive assistance. Appointments are necessary at Ellis’ office.
