Organizers of a recent team up between Toys for Tots and local law enforcement are pleased with the results they received last weekend.
“What a huge success: seventeen hundred and forty three toys.”
Butler County Sheriff Mike Slupe told our newsroom that the first ever “Stuff the Cruiser” collection will be a big help for local families.
Officers from Butler State Police, Butler City Police, Butler Township Police and deputies from the Butler County Sheriff’s Office collected toys at Clearview Mall in Center Township, Walmart in Butler Township and Kmart off Hansen Avenue in Butler City.
According to Slupe, Toys For Tots will make sure the gifts end up where they can do the most good this holiday season.
“People who are already registered because they are already struggling, register with Toys for Tots and at a certain day and time, they come pick up toys for their kids.”
Over $2,000 in cash and other financial contributions were also collected and will be distributed to local families.
