This week is Catholic Schools week and several schools around the Butler County area are marking the occasion with events.
This is the 42nd year Catholic Schools week has been observed and the overall theme this year is “Catholic Schools – Communities of Faith, Knowledge, and Service.”
Butler Catholic will have a talent show Thursday, as well as lunch with parents and different dress up days all week long.
St. Gregory in Zelienople will make this week special with a science fair, math competition, staff versus 8th grade volleyball game and ice cream social. Representatives from Salvation Army’s Project Bundle Up will also arrive to congratulate students on raising nearly $6,000.
Finally, Holy Sepulcher in Butler has a variety of activities planned including working all week on a project called “Foster The Love”. Students will be gathering supplies like toiletries, sleepwear, a book and stuffed animals to put in duffle bags to give to new foster children as they undergo difficult transitions.
