Two organizations in Butler County will be receiving thousands in grant funding prevent underage drinking.
Slippery Rock University received just under $50,000 and Community Health Challenge of South Western Pennsylvania was granted just under $30,000 from the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board.
Slippery Rock will spend the money on enforcement patrols, alcohol awareness for students leaders and influencers training, and a certified peer educator.
While the Community Health Challenge of South Western Pennsylvania Keystone Wellness Program will spend it on a National Keynote Speaker, social media messages, and project sticker shock.
These grants are for the 2024-2026 cycle.
