Local gas prices remained stagnant this week but are still higher than the national average.
According to AAA East Central’s weekly gas report, the average price for a gallon of gas in western Pennsylvania is $2.51. That’s down a penny a gallon from last week.
In Butler, the average price ticked up a penny to $2.59 per gallon.
The national average price is $2.29 per gallon. Drivers are paying 31 cents more per gallon at the pump compared to this same date last year.
