A Cranberry Township man died on New Year’s Eve after an accident happened while he was cutting down a tree.
Authorities say 73-year-old Calvin Croft was cutting down a tree in his yard about noon on Saturday when a limb bounced back and struck him in the head. Authorities say he died of blunt force trauma.
Croft was a lifelong Cranberry Township resident and farmer, and ran the Croft Farm on Franklin Road with his brother.
