A local school district is marking Friday’s Patriot Day with a variety of activities.
In a tribute to 9/11, many students in the Seneca Valley School District will wear red, white and blue today. The district will also hold a moment of silence in secondary buildings during morning announcements and a Cranberry Township ladder truck with an oversized flag will be stationed on campus.
Over 30 lessons in the senior high school will incorporate the impact and memory of this 14th anniversary.
Finally, the 16th annual veteran recognition event will be held during Friday’s Raider football game against Fox Chapel.
