Local hospitalization rates connected to COVID-19 continue to decrease although one more person has died locally at Butler Memorial Hospital over the weekend as a result of COVID-19 infection.
The Butler Health System reported one death to the state on Saturday.
According to the Butler Health System, as of Monday morning eight patients were hospitalized with COVID at Butler Memorial Hospital with three of those in the ICU.
This is four fewer COVID patients hospitalized and the same number of COVID patients in the ICU compared to Thursday. BHS is also moving to providing COVID updates once a week (on Mondays) instead of twice.
