The number of new cases of COVID nearly doubled this past week in Butler County.
Over 1,000 new cases were reported over the last seven days.
The death toll also continues to rise, with another 12 new deaths since last Friday. That brings the county death toll to 614.
Local hospitalizations however have stayed stable. Butler Memorial Hospital is treating 41 patients for the coronavirus, with eight in the ICU. That’s up five total patients since last Thursday.
Statewide hospitalizations have now surpassed 5,000.
