Local COVID cases are continuing to rise at one of the highest rates since the beginning of the pandemic.
There were over 2,800 new cases for Butler County over the past seven days—that’s up about 700 more since last week.
Local hospitalizations are also going up. As of yesterday morning, Butler Memorial Hospital was treating 64 patients for the coronavirus, with 7 in the ICU. That’s up seven patients since Monday. The hospital also reported four additional deaths over the past three days.
The overall death toll for the county rose as well this past week, with 17 more deaths, bringing the death toll to 642.
