This past week showed another significant number of new COVID cases—however it was less than last week.
There were over 2,400 new cases in the past seven days in Butler County—that’s about 400 fewer than the previous week.
Local hospitalizations have also gone down. As of yesterday morning, Butler Memorial Hospital was treating 52 people for the coronavirus, with seven in the ICU. The hospital also reported four additional deaths to the DOH this week.
Since last Friday, the overall death toll has grown to 652 for Butler County.
Statewide hospitalizations meanwhile have also gone down since last week. There’s around 6,900 people being treated for COVID, which is 500 fewer than last week.
