The number of new COVID cases in Butler County continues to fall.
Over the past week, there were 1,165 new cases, which is down more than 500 compared to the previous week.
However, there were still 11 new deaths reported to the Department of Health since last Friday, bringing the countywide death toll to 675.
Local hospitalizations are also falling. As of yesterday morning, Butler Memorial Hospital was treating 40 patients for the coronavirus, with two in the ICU.
Statewide hospitalizations are also down week-over-week. The total went from 5,550 last Friday to just over 4,100 as of yesterday.
