Five local children with disabilities received adaptive bikes Tuesday through Variety.
The presentation was made at XTO Energy’s Warrendale office.
Variety is a charity that gives away adaptive bikes, strollers and communication devices to kids. The adaptive bikes and strollers are fitted for each child’s height, build and special requirements. The communication devices are iPads fitted with software tailored by a speech pathologist for each child’s specific needs.
The group is in the midst of their “Life Changing” tour where they will make 15 stops throughout Pennsylvania and West Virginia, giving away 150 products.
