A locally-based teen clothing retailer has filed for bankruptcy.
Rue 21—which has its headquarters in Warrendale—said in a statement that they filed a voluntary petition for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and also entered into agreements with some of its lenders to reduce the company’s debt.
The company said they expect to continue normal business operations during the bankruptcy process.
Last month, Rue 21 began the process of closing around 400 stores.
