A local bridge has reopened today as the second in Butler County to be completed under a new partnership.
The Saxonburg Boulevard crossing over Bull Creek in Clinton Township was rebuilt by Walsh Construction. The original bridge was built in 1987 and carried about 2,000 vehicles per day.
The Public-Private Partnership project aims to rebuild 558 bridges across the state in three years. The partnership is an effort between Penn-DOT and Plenary Walsh Keystone Partners replace bridges more quickly and with cost savings by doing many projects at the same time.
