The public is welcome to attend an auction this weekend to benefit the Butler County 4-H.
According to Butler County 4-H organizer Jean Kummer “We have really wonderful items that are all donated by local businesses and community members and family members. There are a lot of sports memorabilia, there’s a fishing basket, alpaca hats and gloves, there are baskets that have gardening items, there are cookie making baskets, baking baskets, a lot of Vera Bradley Bags, jewelry, a robotics basket, then there’s animal feeds.”
The event will begin at 6 p.m. Saturday at the Vagabond Center in Lyndora. Doors open at 4:30. This is a cash and carry auction with refreshments available.
The Butler County 4-H is also involved with an event for teens being held Tuesday, October 25th at Butler Catholic School.
“We are partnering with several Butler County youth organizations, one of which is Connecting To Tomorrow. Organizations that are designed to help youth make better life choices and prepare them for the future. This event is going to feature drug prevention,” Kummer explained.
This is a free event but reservations are needed by this Friday. For more information about the Butler County 4-H, visit extension.psu.edu.
