The Seneca Valley School District is among those paying the most regionally to teachers and administrators according to a recent report.
Seneca Valley’s teachers made an average of just over $71,000 last year which was good enough for a ranking of 21st in Western Pennsylvania. Additionally, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Tracy Vitale received a salary of just over $198,000 which ranked 43rd among administrators in this part of the state.
The Pittsburgh Business Times and American City Business Journals looked into Pennsylvania Department of Education payroll figures to come up with the rankings. The study compiled the list using employees making at least $15,000 during last school year.
Fox Chapel was the top-ranked school in Western PA, paying their teachers an average salary of nearly $86,000 per year.
