The Lions Club of Butler has made a donation to make improvements at a local playground.
Representatives of the group attended Thursday night’s Butler City Council meeting and presented a check for $1,200 to Director of Parks Corey Roche.
The money is about half the cost of replacing woodchips at the Christie Avenue or South Hills playground.
The group also did a cleanup at the park as a way to give back to a neighborhood that has supported them in their mission to benefit the Blind Association.
