Linemen have come from other states- and other parts of Pennsylvania- to help restore power to Butler County residents.
Close to 500 linemen are now here helping, according to West Penn Power spokesman Todd Meyers.
First Energy, the parent corporation of West Penn Power, established a staging area for linemen and their trucks in Worthington.
Central Electric Cooperative has also brought in crews from other cooperatives to help.
“Four additional crews from other cooperatives are arriving in Butler Monday morning,” CEC’s spokesman Ken Maleski said.
CEC is not giving out information on restoration times for specific accounts, but Maleski said he hopes to make significant progress today and tomorrow.
