Now that cold weather is upon us, the reality for many turns to how they will pay their heating bills.
LIHEAP, the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program, is underway and currently taking applications.
Rachel Kostelac, with the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services, says the program continues through March 31.
Both renters and homeowners who fall within certain income guidelines are able to apply for funds.
Applications are available at county assistance offices or online at compass.state.pa.us.
