A monastery in Butler County was struck by lightning Thursday.
Lightning struck the Nativity of the Theotokos Greek Orthodox Monastery on St. Elias Lane, off Golden City Road, in Saxonburg about 4:30 p.m.
The monastery houses 14 sisters and is also attached to a church. All of the women were inside when the lightning hit but no one was reportedly hurt.
The cost of the damage is unclear.
