With the holidays coming to an end, energy officials are reminding home owners not to leave decorations up too long.
West Penn Power says it’s a good idea to start taking decorations that involve electric down not long after the holidays end.
They mention that things like Christmas trees dry out and keeping it up with lights on becomes a fire hazard.
West Penn also says that putting the lights away can increase their shelf life for use next year.
