A traveling Vietnam memorial will stop in Butler County next week.
The Butler County American Legion Riders will escort a 24-foot trailer holding the Americans Veterans Traveling Tribute, a replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, on Wednesday, Aug. 23. The escort will begin at Victory Family Church on Route 19 in Cranberry and end behind VA Butler Healthcare in Butler Township.
The replica, which is 80 percent of the size of the real thing, will then be on display until Aug. 27.
Motorcyclists are welcome to attend the escort. The Butler Legion Riders also want people lining the streets along the escort route.
There are 43 veterans from Butler County that lost their lives in Vietnam.
