A New Castle man died in a motorcycle crash over the weekend in Lawrence County.
Police say the accident happened Saturday evening just before 8 p.m. on Route 108 near Grange Hall Road in Scott Township.
49-year-old Travis Bintrim of New Castle was riding his motorcycle with a 14-year-old passenger when a car driven by 72-year-old Catherine Jennings of New Castle veered into the eastbound lane and hit the motorcycle.
Both Bintrim and the passenger went off the bike. Bintrim was taken to a New Castle trauma center where he died from his injuries. The 14-year-old was flown to Children’s Hospital and is reportedly in stable condition.
Police say the accident remains under investigation.
