Lawrence County is the latest county to be included in the Pittsburgh metropolitan area.
As part of a reconfiguration by the White House, Lawrence joined Mercer County as the latest to be added to the metro area.
That brings the total of the Pittsburgh Metropolitan area to 2.4 million.
Prior to the move, Lawrence County was considered a part of the New Castle micropolitan area.
