Negotiations continue over the state budget, but with the deadline just a few days away, lawmakers are skeptical an official budget will be completed on time.
The informal deadline of June 30th is around the corner, and a key Senate Republican believes that they will miss that date.
Sen. Joe Pittman of Indiana County recently told reporters that while conversations over the budget are “cordial” he believes they will need to pick up the pace in order to reach a finalized budget.
There are no scheduled votes to take place on a budget in either the House or Senate at the moment.
